The nose was dark and rich with crushed, spiced blackberry, plum and violet pastilles, which were perfectly offset by smoky minerals, pepper and dusty dried florals. On the palate, I found soft, creamy textures, yet not weighty. with spicy baked cherry, raspberry, and cinnamon as zesty acids added liveliness and drenching black fruits. It finished long and spicy with lingering dark fruit, spice and the slightest hint of heat. Another remakable value from #Carlisle, wow! — 6 years ago
Best #Zinfandel producer out there (period), 7 years old and it's balanced, deep, fresh and most importantly fun to smell and taste! Dare I say this could age to 20 years? I'd take that gamble just to see what it's like, but side more with the fact it would be in fine drinking condition.
Here we have a splash of Carignane that adds depth, beep but not flamboyant fruit and spine to the structure. Blue and dark red fruits brood over a layer of roasted meat and subtle, ripe tannins and tweek of acidity on the finish. #carlisle — 9 years ago

This is freaking awesome. It’s too bad I’m pissed off at Bedrock and not buying from them anymore (#Carlisle!!!). Lush with tons of depth and complexity. Blackberry, cherry, dark chocolate and bacon fat. Bold and clearly Californian, but wonderful. — 6 years ago
