It's surprisingly lifted and elegant on the palate, guided by racy acidity. Tart wild berry fruits and exotic spices drench the palate in youthful concentration. This leaves a staining of fine tannins and balsamic tones to linger, finishing structured and with dramatic length. The Pure Paso is a blend of 64% Cabernet Sauvignon, 28% Petite Sirah, 5% Petit Verdot, 2% Malbec and 1% Merlot that matured for eighteen months in a combination of American and French oak.
