Nose has this crazy level of richness. Dense honeyed. Not at all what I expected. Almost like an old wine from the northern Rhône. Palate exhibits typical mosel green apple but it is enrobed in amazing richness. Mineral. Acids. Not over the top as the acids go toe to toe. Wow. Finish is heaven. For the top god. Zeus. Odin. Jupiter. Not the god of gutters or anything. Wow. So long. Was prepared to like this. Not to bow down before it. If wine collectors tried This wine it would cost $100 on release. Needs 45 minutes to show. Bought from Fass Selections. — 6 years ago
RWOTN in hall of fame big red company. This one courtesy of @Roman Sukley who meant to pull the "On Your Toes" Syrah and instead treated us to the Heart Chorea. To my knowledge these 2 particular wines are the most rare in the SQN lineup with I believe less than 1000 total bottles produced of each. The nose was Alban-esque with scorched earth and stewed tomatoes. Soy, wild game, iron and blood, bramble and the beating heart of Zeus or so it would seem.... — 8 years ago

Red and black roses shine across a black cherry lake with a cinnamon-cedar island over which hovers a basil and raspberry mist. Medium mouthfeel, shimmering with tart cherry, frozen dark chocolate, cracked coffee bean, cherry dust, dried bing cherry and rose petal with ash, red tea, dried cranberries and the absolute scintilla of micro-tar. Intense interplay, but as delicate as Pinot in its complex minutiae. #brunellodimontalcino #brunello #italianwines #montalcino #Renieri #redwine #sangiovese #zeus — 8 years ago
A natural sparkling rosé made with the pet-nat method. Dry and deliciously fruity. Reminds me of an elegant strawberry, fruit punch. — 4 years ago
This pops with vibrant strawberry and kirsch, but continues reverberating with incense, citrus peel, damp chalk, and licorice. I would happily spend $15 again, but this gives me the confidence to trade up to Halos Gigondas or Chateauneuf du Pape the next time around.
Finally trying this label... Considering the esteem to which I hold Philippe Cambie and my love for Grenache, it's been a long time coming. Cambie, along with a Michel Gassier, produce Grenache-focused bottlings from nearly all the Southern Rhone AOCs under the Halos de Jupiter label. To Cambie, Grenache is the king of all grapes, thus the comparison to Jupiter (Zeus in Greek), forming the basis of the label. The halo symbolizes the appellations that best express the personality of Grenache. http://www.philippecambie.com/en/les-halos-de-jupiter/ — 8 years ago
