Rich, balanced Pinot that opened up after 3 hours of air. Cherry cola flavors dominated with just a hint of earth. I enjoyed the wine with rack of lamb but truth be told I liked the bouquet more than the wine. — 2 months ago
Still fresh after 13 years, amazing bing cherry, black raspberry with Clean very integrated tanins in the long finish — 2 months ago
Winner of the night. Yes 14.1% but still good. Plumy nose. Tannins fully resolved. Drink!!! Up. Lime, spices, Hint blueberry, violets. Touch cherry 🍒. Quite amazing. Who would have thought. Because typically i prefer Burghs. — 9 days ago
Thank goodness. No pre-ox on this wine. Have been burned by a lot of Williams selyem chards
But this wine had the dark golden hue yet no pre ox. Very fresh and gorgeous
Like the best WS chards - this tastes nothing like typical California Chardonnay and is more like a chateaunuef de pape Blanc
Fantastic melon and stone fruit flavors.
Minimal oak and a good acidity that gives you a bit of heat / alcohol but not too much.
Really enjoyed this wine with salmon and caviar. — a month ago
Love this year and vineyard. The deep color and taste profile is velvety and pure joy to drink. — 3 months ago
Dark, rich, smooth finish. Paired with grilled salmon. — 2 days ago
All about the nose on this. Compact, deep core of raspberry and pomegranate. Finish hangs — 2 months ago
Absolutely the star of the evening. Rich aroma and a different class of wine. Dark fruits and well balanced. Aged well. — 3 months ago
Sipping Fine Wine
Ruby color, purple edges, with aromas of ripe fruits, floral and complex spice, aged for 16 months on French oak, 58% new, vineyard planted in 1991. On the palate concentrated flavors of strawberry and black cherry with orange citrus, herbs, vanilla and oak, soft tannins on well balanced structure. Full body, rich long finish, ending with fruit, vanilla, floral, spice and oaky tones. Very Nice! Will age! — 2 days ago
