Excellent Fevre Vaulorent. Never disappointed. — a month ago
Excellent nose. Very balanced and smooth. Thoroughly enjoyed to top off the tasting experience in the cave tasting room at Jarvis Estates. — 3 months ago
Really balanced and crowd pleasing white option - not too buttery — 20 days ago
Guys, this is really really good. I’ve been on a bad streak with premox - 4 of 6 fevre 04 les clos’s I recently bought went down the drain so I was worried looking at the color through the bottle. So I opened one even though it is way too young. Never had the Cote Bouguerots before. Very impressive. Much weightier and rounder than typical Chablis, but still with enough apple and limestone to place it. Big fan especially at the price point. — 2 months ago
Pulled from the wine fridge and double-decanted about 90 minutes prior to service; enjoyed over the course of three hours. The 2005 Bougros pours a deep straw color with medium viscosity. On the nose, the wine is vinous with notes of marmalade, dried apricot, cashews, chalky minerals, leesy, and slightly sherried. On the palate, the wine is dry with medium+ acid. Confirming the notes from the nose. The finish is long and super chalky.
This improved dramatically as it came up to temperature and had some real time to stretch its legs. It showed all the hallmarks of well aged GC Chablis from a solar year: powerful, dried fruit; the chalk; the acid; its creamy, leesy texture. The sherried, oxidative notes seemed to dissipate over time, freshening up a bit after being cooped up for so long. Bravo! Drink now and before 2030. Thanks Andy! — 3 months ago
Feel like I skip over this entry level Fevre Chablis but this is up in the cut. — 3 months ago
