Pungent, perfumed nose of violets blasted through a chipper shredder with jasmine and magnolia blossoms; a pronounced balsamic dash underlies. Virgin rose petals catch the bouquet. Ripe red grapes undulate in rich soils.
Red cherries blacken on the palate, shedding roll-ups raincoats in a hail of dusty tannins tart and black cassis and currant with resinous dark cigar heads, espresso beans and bergamot coated in dark , bitter chocolate. Sweet teeth to beast freak.

A good example of a Barolo, salvaged from the wreckage of Virgin Velocity scheme. Medium light, brown but not over. A very fine taste.

Good everyday table wine. Consistent quality except for one leaky cork. — 6 months ago
From Virgin Wines (from Jim). Nice, deep rich red. Smooth, very tobacco-ey notes, lots of current and dark berry flavours — 3 years ago

My virgin voyage with savagnin. Described by the somm as “gewurtzraminer’s bigger, badder cousin” from the Jura. I hear that. — 6 years ago
2020 vintage. Holy bleep! Tasted approx 5 months ago and was great bang for the buck but even more evident now. Super red Burg value! Smoky, savory and medium-heavy bodied. Big frontal fruit punch that consistently rolls through to the back door with enough acidity for balance. Fun, frisky and ‘fordable which doesn’t happen very often in the (red) Burgundian realm. Last tasted approx a month ago but drinking even better now. Would honestly be afraid of proffering this up to a red Burgundy “virgin” because it would completely destroy all current and future QPR expectations from the entire region for them forever. For y’all old fart, red Burg honks-enjoy. 3.8.23. — 2 years ago
