Vin Du Lac

Daumas Gassac

Rosé Frizant Vin de Pays de l'Hérault Cabernet Sauvignon Blend

Trying the Mas de Daumas Gassac lineup. Aside from their flagship Languedoc red this might be my fav. It’s rose sparkling with incredibly bright strawberry notes and deep acidity. Light lees flavour. The hefty body and full mousse really make it stand out. Wow. — 14 hours ago

Rouge Vin de Pays des Bouches-du-Rhône Cabernet-Syrah Blend 2000

Tertiary flavours, cherry and cedar wood notes. Really opened up after a long decant. With lamb shoulder. Yum! — a month ago

Smoking. This is amazing. The earth of a languedoc cab. It has dolcetto, sure only 2% but who does that? It’s so good. Long finish. Complex. 2021. — 22 days ago

Mmmmm! Haven’t had one of these in decades. Need to remedy that soon.

Château Léoville-Las Cases

Grand Vin de Leoville du Marquis de las Cases Saint-Julien Red Bordeaux Blend 2000

Wow. Wow and wow. This was amazing! It’s definitely still early on. I let this decant for 2.5 hours before the first sip. It was revved and ready by then and was stellar by hour 4+. Rich and deep but silky smooth. Currants and an earthy/smokey quality. Loved this! — a day ago

Kapcsándy Family Winery

Grand Vin State Lane Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon 2005

Our New Year’s Eve wine is 2005 Kapcsandy Family Winery Estate Cuvée State Lane Vineyard. Still too early to open this? After four hours, the wine finally showed us who she was. Elegant, yet still restrained. We also opened 1996 Duckhorn Vineyards Napa Valley Merlot. Still drinkable. You can still enjoy the history. Bye bye 2025.

大晦日最後のワインは、2005 Kapcsandy Family Winery Estate Cuvée State Lane Vineyard。 Bye Bye 2025!

Domaine Auguste Clape

Le Vin des Amis Syrah 2022

Nose is typical Clape, palate is a little thin and austere, in line with the 11.5% abv, but still a good companion for food and friends. — 2 months ago

Day 2 rounds out the edges just enough. Not the best Vin des Amis but worth a try
