Pepper is dominate. Dark berries secondary. Full of tannins! — 9 years ago
Sangiovese, Cab, Merlot blend with good intensity and notes of plum, earth and spices. Same producer as the highly rated Camartina, but at a fraction of the cost. Great everyday wine. 90 — 9 years ago
Mildly fruity and deliciously well rounded. Not as full bodies as other cabs but goes down easier. A step up from a merlot but not as heavy. Dark berries and oak. Leathery scent. Mild tannins. I like it very much! — 9 years ago
Very smooth without much bite. A good evening sipping red. — 10 years ago

Now this felt like a typical 03’. Ripe and plush, I thought it was a 07’ left bank Bordeaux. Close enough? Haha. Dusty, leathery, and still-oaky nose, with a blackberry jam-like character which treads on drying out. Also notes of coffee and some herbs. It does feel quite Cabernet-dominant on the nose although it’s not. On the palate, it was very rich and even fat at times. The tannins were mouth-filling and sticky which stumped me a little (felt a little Merlot-like, yet not), but made sense upon reveal. Can’t say I enjoyed this much, but it’s definitely got complexity and substance. I’d need the right food pairing to enjoy this. — 9 months ago
