Etna Bianco Carricante 2015

Etna Bianco with some age! Brought back straight from the estate on our trip to Sicily two years ago. Closed down tight at first, this needs hours to show the very pretty aromas of apricot, wild flowers, yellow peach andriver stones. The palate is a bit subacid at first, but that’s offset by the minerals and incredible texture— almost oily but somehow ethereal. Dry, savory bready notes on the finish. — 5 months ago

Rosso Relativo Sicilia IGT Nerello Mascalese

Joyful perfumed deep ruby rosato. Mountain flowers, lava rock, cherries, saltwater taffy, blood orange. From 80+ year old vines at high elevations, using native yeasts and long aging in stainless steel tanks. Valcerasa wines are as breathtaking as Etna itself. — 3 years ago
