Still showing a lot of tannic and acidic structure, but enough fruit to keep it in check once it had a few hours of air, youthful still, and brawny. — a year ago
N: Salty dried butterscotch/caramel, Seashore, old boats, rot in the best of ways.
P: Sweet but no… upon entry, the impression is of something unctuous and sweet, for a bit of a second, then DRY. Yellow and gold flowers/melon,
heady at 16°. Great w baby artichokes and Parm and pan seared Branzino.
Varnish lacquer,
Really fine weirdo stuff. I’ve never splurged for the Quattro Palmas…but….

Last had 2 years ago and the extra time has been good to this. Really a lovely burgundy with some rotisserie chicken on the first snowy day of the season in New York. Red fruit, light earth, and minerality all in balance and expressing very nicely. Finishes with good acid and a real lift. Delicious. — a month ago
Lovely Cava. — 2 years ago
Very dry… like English humour. But it finishes off with a nice earthy and nutty finish. If you like tannins and puckering your lips this is fantastic. — 4 years ago
Great wine combining southern burgundy richness, use of luxurious oak, great acidity and low alc levels. Wonder how this ages.. Tx @Jan A for pointing this one out!. — a month ago
Notes of raspberry, flint, butter. Medium bodied, feel the sun and the acid, oak tannins, length, with blackberries and raspberries. I think this 2022 would have been in great in 2024. Love garnacha, but I feel I’d better drink it young, almost unoaked. — 2 months ago
Very very good, also sweet — 2 years ago
The 2019 was absolutely delicious. Not too jammy but lip smacking all the same. Glad we have another bottle! — 4 years ago

2023 opened Jan 2026. Lots of leather with some lavender high notes on the nose. A jolt of red fruit, cassis and cherries, on the front, balanced by solid Cab tannic structure. The Zin components lend some fruity high notes to a substantial mineral finish. This is a warm and luscious wine. — 4 days ago
