Needs to breathe for a while and then is delicious with food. — 5 years ago
Okay, yum. A smoky fruit forward deep purple wine with lovely soft tannins. Having it at a rooftop restaurant and being extremely rude by taking wine notes but hey, it be like that sometimes. Notes of currant, blackberry, chocolate. Very good. — 6 years ago
These old wines need time to open and tasting it as soon as opened it seemed very flat and not much going on. After decanting and sitting around for a few hours it opened up and was still getting better as I fought to get the last bit at a dinner party, very rude guests who drank it all, just sayin. Had a great nose with some flowers, mushrooms, some earth and something sweet going on. A bit rich and had very nice long finish. Excellent wine. — 7 years ago
Had a glass in Champaign. Rude, rustic, woody and sensitive. — 10 months ago
My favorite red from this stop along the wine trip - most beautiful vineyard, but rude staff. This was balanced but a bit light, and not too oak — 3 years ago
A fizzy desert wine, yum — 6 years ago
Spot-on Pouilly Fumé. Green, herbal, smoky and assertive but avoids being rude. — 8 years ago
2023 Textura Rosa, Valley de Guadalupe Mexico
One of the very few natural wines where I find the process (or lack of process?!) complimentary to the grape instead of diminutive or downright rude!
A mix of red fruit on the nose - both over ripe strawberry and ripe tart bing cherry.
The taste carries the tart bing cherry notes with a wonderfully fresh acidic finish. I would never guess that this was grown so far south of the 40th parallel

Nose is lovely gunsmoke. Chocolate. Cherry coffee.
Palate is so ripping clean, mineral and juicy. Early season cherries. So good.
A 9.2 Out of the gate. What a great wine with food.
Freshness on this is insane. Tastes like a 2020.
The Bourgogne rouge they serve in heaven. All I need is pate, cornichons, cigarette smoke and some rude French waiters.

Excellent rose; best I’ve ever had outside Provence. In fact, only rose I’ve ever truly loved outside Provence. Somehow it’s supremely refreshing (95* and humid), good with food, and continues to evolve with new flavors over two hours. Bought on recommendation from Phillip at The Wishing Well. Raspberries, vanilla, floral, with long subtlety-spiced finish. Drank at dad’s house with left over BBQed chicken from Rude BBQ. Very good pairing. Going to buy more tomorrow. — 6 years ago
Easy to drink, light, tangy without being rude. Slightly effervescent. — 6 years ago

This was in rude health at 36 years of age. Would have held for at least a decade or two longer. But a wonderful time to be drinking it, with lively fruit and freshness still present along with secondary and tertiary complexities folded in. A gorgeous smooth ride across the palate, with fine and elegant tanning structure, dark fruit, savoury notes of olive tapenade, and a long, lingering finish. Perhaps even more time in decanter would have opened things up even more. — 2 months ago
