Sofia’s favorite vineyard plot. A “smoke show” we called it. Generally the 19s were the standouts — beautifully balanced and giving all of the dried herb and earthy notes typical of great Chianti Classico — but this was an exception, opulent and spicey (allspice, cinnamon, cedar) and so so fragrant. Stay in the look out for these wines — Sofia (the estate manager) and Giocomo (vineyard manger and cellar master, most recently of Isole & Olena) are making some really intentional and pretty wines here. — 3 years ago

With one M shy in the back and the other M writing this we have to be honest. This is a well made super tuscan from Chianti. Cab S, Merlot and PV. Some 5000 bottles made. All the typical characteristics present. Bonus for the name! M and M — 2 years ago
