Blackberry, blueberry, smoked meat and garrigue. Wine is #14 on Wine Spectator’s Top 100 of 2019. — 3 months ago
A great representation of an extremely approachable Syrah from Santa Barbara county. Medium-to-full-bodied, rounded and elegant, all red fruits on the nose concours to the palate from beginning to the very end. Medium tannins, some spices and wet woods are easily noticed. It’s a cork and pour, ready to go Syrah. Delicious! — 9 days ago
Black and blue fruit aromas and flavors, solid acidity, a bit of ABV (14.5%) shows in the longish finish, close to, if not fully mature, very good! — a month ago
[En Magnum] Last week we had a much younger version of the other Tensley magnum blend, the BMT, which has some Grenache (25%) in the blend, whereas this is all Syrah. Richness and insanely forward and still very youthful fruit, very good depth, long, lingering finish, my only nit is it’s also 15.0% ABV, this should last for many years to come!! — 23 days ago
Beautiful white blind, very focused, pear, honey, oyster shell, green olive. Perfect balance of new world fruit and old world handling. — a month ago
Rhône with great acid and red fruit — 2 months ago
Aromas of bluefruits and earthy, mineral notes, similar flavors, like the 2009, this also shows lower ABV (13.4%), faint green bean/green olive note as well, both of these are close to showing as from the northern Rhône, really excellent Santa Rita Hills Syrah!! — 3 months ago

Hazy deep yellow gold (unfiltered? skin contact?). Caramelized balsa and menthol peaches in the abundant nose. Confirmed on the medium full palate which adds layers of dried quince, baking spices, pickled watermelon rind, and a host of other subtle flavors. Medium acidity from entry; bitter almond on the lengthy, non-stop finish. More complex than you might be expecting, this is a white for hearty fare. Drink now through 2027. — 11 days ago
