Mystery wine at Tapanappa vertical tasting. Leather and spice with hints of mint on the nose. Still plenty of life in it at 22 years old; I’m sure the magnum helps. — 7 years ago
A weekend for new world Bordeaux blends, apparently. This one is fragrant and so soft and approachable, with fruitcake spice and dark berries and dark chocolate; ever so drinkable. There’s depth and complexity but it has a lightness and prettiness — quite a contrast to the Tapanappa it’s sitting side-by-side with tonight. — 5 years ago
Stunning.
This is not my bag by a long shot but credit given when credit is due. — 6 years ago
Cracking Chard, little bit of zing, little bit of oak nuttiness. Just the right amount of depth. — 8 years ago
Exquisitely balanced wine. Served side by side with the Tapanappa Foggy Hill 2017 it was certainly the more composed of the two (although in time the gap will close) and it slipped down beautifully with the lamb cigar entree. — 5 years ago
Gorgeous, delicate wine with strong bones. The smoky stemminess is present, reminiscent of the 2017 Foggy Hill, but with more refinement. Fine tannins, precise acid line. It’s drinking beautifully today at release (especially with duck!), but the aged Foggy Hill alongside it speaks of the incredible potential. — 5 years ago
(Delectable, a simple search on the Tapanappa website will give you the correct naming of this wine!) The nose on this! I spend more time sniffing than sipping. Gorgeous Piccadilly chardonnay, delightful in its youth and with a huge future ahead of it. — 7 years ago

Warm vintage, soft ripe fruit. Presents as young but very approachable with soft tannins, with liquorice and dark fruit prominent and tannins sitting in the background. An intriguing contrast to the Man O’ War blend alongside it. Very easy to enjoy but perhaps some element missing at this stage. — 4 years ago
