Estate Willamette Valley Pinot Noir 2024

2024 vintage. Light-medium/medium body. Slightly more tart on the finish than the previous vintage. That’s not necessarily a bad thang. 4.8.26. — a month ago

Mount Richmond Yamhill - Carlton Pinot Noir 2016

Nice wine. Last had 2 years ago and probably should have let this one go a bit further but so it goes. Decanted for 2 hours which was the right call. Quite a bit of structure with some nice red fruit mixed with soy and earth. Long finish, with medium minus tannins and good acid. Would be one to try in 5-10 years. — 5 months ago

Clos De La Tech

Domaine Valeta Sunny Slope Pinot Noir 2019

2019 vintage. Contribution to the FLB (Friday Lunch Bunch) along with @Pinotman /// Andreas and an appreciative regular. Medium/medium-heavy body. Darker fruit and spices aplenty this effort. Not quite as ripe as other CDLT efforts (maybe a dozen at this point¿?) tasted in the last two years. Far from flashy, this Pinot, unlike you, does its best work in the dark. The quality, effort and experience slowly creeps up and, before you know it, you’re actively planning a getaway weekend with it. Stealth juice. 3.20.26. — 2 months ago

Five Mountain Chehalem Mountains Pinot Noir 2022

Ruby with elegant red fruit aromas and gentle floral spice, aged for 10 months in French oak. On the palate flavors of cherry and cranberry with notes of tea, herb pepper with wet stone notes. Soft tannins on a long finish ending with fruit, spice and earthy mineral notes. Very Nice! — 4 months ago

Côtes de Provence Rosé Blend 2024

This rosé is everywhere in Switzerland. I think it’s the 4th time I’ve had it. Got this bottle at the train station lol. Very concentrated. Strong acidity, strawberry and orange. Mouth watering finish with a touch of lavender and Provençal herbs. I can see why they like it so much here. Screams European summer (or après-ski on a sunny afternoon). Not fussy, but still elevated. — 9 months ago

Well, there has been a bit of storytelling behind that brand ...

@Daniel M Does Brad Pitt still having anything to do with it? The Swiss do like the “in” thing ;) Despite all that, it’s a solid rosé

Apparently yes but there is a legal battle over Angelina Jolie's stakes (which she sold to a company after their divorce). The Perrin family is still at the helm from a practical point of view though.
