Part 2 of Columbia County wknd: closed Beaujo, quite refined but this needs a good decant or some time. Black cherries, a plum- ier note. Rather compact body & closed on the nose. Still, nicely accompanied Grilled steelhead trout on cedar planks. I suspect this is one Morgon that needs nurturing. Never had this producer before, to the amazement of the wine store guy. — 3 years ago
Nose of plummy, sirloin deliciousness; violets and lavender. Imminently drinkable with cranberry and raspberry giving way to tart cherry and a smoky streak throughout. Beautiful and impressive display of finesse with wiry sinew. Perfect silken complement to cedar plank steelhead trout. .

Nose has stuck match, candied pineapple, vanilla candy (pina colada?), warmed lemon peel, lemon meringue with faint moist chalk notes.
Palate has warmed lemon curd, chunky vanilla notes, almond cake, lithe with a medium finish.
Decanted 3H. $60 Costco.
Not inspiring at this date, incredibly youthful with likely two decades in front. Yet, a solid pair with grilled Steelhead Trout this evening. — 2 years ago

2021 vintage paired very well with a steelhead filet definitely a keeper — a year ago
