Night 2 notes. (It’s better on night 2). Nose has loads of cedar, underbrush, and graphite. Underneath that is some dark cassis. In the mouth, it’s intensely gravelly, with an olivey note and very dark cassis ooze fruit. Still got some soft but puckery tannin. Long smoky finish. Very nice, especially with the rich Portuguese chicken, chourico, and red wine stew I had tonight. — 4 years ago

This wine tells the story of what the mazze family has been working for over the last 500 years this is 18 different clones and then 18 are proprietary and ahave been on the site from their origin adating to their environment mutating like Pinot noir but not as much. They planted all of these in the sam location. This wine has a wonderful intensity with an array of spice and a string spence of place very balanced only 9 barrels produced. this is the first vintage and it is really. Moatxcellent! — 10 years ago
