I first sampled this excellent Syrah at the Wenatchee Chamber of Commerce, which amazingly has a tasting room featuring the local wines from the newly-dubbed Ancient Lakes AVA. These wineries tend to be quite small operations run by families and this Syrah shows the love. The fact that they are releasing their 2008 vintage now, in 2016, shows that they favor quality over quick cash. The wine itself is silky smooth but not jammy, medium of body with a pleasant blueberry flavor and a slightly sweet finish. — 8 years ago
