Serpa Vineyards

Conde de Serpa

Alentejano Red Blend 2017

Dark ruby in color with a wide reddish rim.

Medium plus in body with medium plus acidity.

Dry on the palate with mild complexity and a soft mouthfeel.

Showing black currants, cherries, raspberries, spices, light oak, licorice, light earth and tobacco.

Short finish with soft tannins and tangy raspberries.

This 7 year old red blend from Portugal is still drinking nicely, although probably was better a couple of years ago.

Easy drinking and better right out of the bottle. Gets more tangy as it opens up (1 hour).

Good by itself as a sipping wine. Tangy and interesting.

A blend of Aragonez, Trincaderia and Alicante Bouschet. Aged for 12 months in used French oak barrels.

14% alcohol by volume.

89 points.
