Deep golden in color.
Strong nose of honeydew, citrus, lemons, honey, spices, melons, oranges, tangerines, tropical fruits and pineapples. A really beautiful nose.
Full bodied and buttery with high acidity.
Sweet on the palate with melons, red apples, honey, tropical fruits, spices, light earth, honeysuckle and white pepper.
Long finish with oranges and spices.
This is a fabulous dessert wine from Bordeaux, France.
Very complex with a great mouthfeel. Well balanced with enough acidity to balance the sugars.
Delicious right out of the bottle, good by itself, and even better after an hour of airtime.
Thanks Scott for sharing this with me.
This 19 year old is smooth and generous. Rich and extracted. Sweet and well balanced.
I've had the 2009 vintage not too long ago, and this is showing so much better. What a wonderful surprise.
Paired very nicely with the blue cheese. Drank from a 375ml bottle.
13.5% alcohol by volume.
96 points.

Blackish-red fruits, cigar box, firm but doesn’t over power. I’m a believer that California is the Mecca for New World wine. — 10 days ago
Surprisingly delicate taste. Went well with brisket as well as with chocolate — a month ago
It's time for a delicious Merlot on this #MerlotThursday.
Dark ruby in color with a short reddish rim.
Beautiful nose of blueberries, black plums, currants, cedar, earth, vanilla, licorice, spices, chocolates, tobacco, herbs and peppercorn.
Full bodied, smooth and elegant, with medium acidity and long legs.
Dry on the palate with blackberries, plums, cooked cherries, cedar, vanilla, spices, chocolates, tobacco, herbs, earth and black pepper.
Long finish with fine grained tannins and cherries.
This is a delicious Merlot from Napa Valley. Really elegant at this point. Tasty and easy drinking. Rich and fruit forward.
Good right out of the bottle, and better after two hours in the decanter.
Showing nice complexity with a great mouth feel. A great sipping wine.
Thank you Scott for sharing this with me.
This 8 year old is peaking now and will continue to drink nicely in the next few years.
Well-balanced and easy drinking, and paired nicely with food as well. I paired it with a charcuterie board of meats and cheeses.
Aged in 50% new French oak barrels for 21 months. A small production of only 4 barrels.
14.5% alcohol by volume.
