Study sesh!!!! Wine of the night is a GG (grosses gewachs) Riesling wine from Pfalz, Germany. 🇩🇪
👁This wine has a medium lemon hue. This wine is clear with subtle effervescence.
👃 The nose is clean. This wine has pronounced intensity of developing aromas including tart apple, apricot, lemon, lime, pineapple, gooseberry, elderflower, honeysuckle, honey, and wet stone.
👄 This wine is dry and medium bodied. The acidity is high. The alcohol is medium. This wine has pronounced intensity of flavors including tart green apple, lemon peel, lime, apricot, passion fruit, gooseberry, wet stone, and honeysuckle. The finish is medium(+).
Quality of this wine is very good. It is very good because it has strong balance of acidity and fruit characteristics. It has a good length and intensity of aromas. It could be improved with greater complexity and tertiary flavor development that would increase the honeyed and dried fruit flavor potential. This wine may be consumed now, but will benefit from more time in the bottle.

I love weltner. love. Love. Love. So underrated bc he’s in Franken.
Nose is screamingly mineral. Some lemon peel. A hint of Grapefruit perfume.
Palate is large sized pebbles. Angular in a good way. Has that hidden density. Pink grapefruit as it opens. Masterful. Masterful.
An hour in sweet rocks on the finish.

Always one of the top Pinots in Germany. Gorgeous, haunting and complex nose of spice, tree bark, mid season cherries, cherry flower, mulberry, licorice, hint of oak. Gorgeous. Layered, haunting and just beautiful. Palate is mega juicy and so stunningly pure. Elegant and lithe with just stunningly refined tannins. What a finish. Amazing, depth, minerality and complexity. A little closed on the backend but will open as the night goes on. Wow. — 11 days ago
I’ve had Enderle & Moll Pinot but, not their Rosé. Bought this after seeing @Severn Goodwin post. I like it. It needs to get some air but, more importantly, it needs to cellar for another year or two.
The color is richer - darker...shows more time in contact with skin.
The nose reveals; bubble gum, juicy & candied; strawberries, black cherries, black raspberries, plum, raspberries & cranberry extract. Red liqueured cola, red licorice, herbal notes, limestone minerals, chalkiness, grey volcanics, candle wax, potpourri with candied florals of; dark, red, purple & blue framed in violets & lavender.
The body rich & full with high viscosity. bubble gum, juicy & candied; strawberries, black cherries, black raspberries, plum, raspberries, pomegranate & cranberry extract. Red liqueured cola, mix of red & black licorice, herbal notes, limestone minerals, chalkiness, grey volcanics, dark, rich soil, candle wax, tree sap with bark shavings, mix of dark & white spice (ginger), potpourri with candied, perfumed, florals of; dark, red, purple & blue framed in violets & lavender. The acidity is a picture perfect Hawaii waterfall. The long, rich, lush, well polished & balanced finish is persistent for minutes while falling onto perfect mid spice.
One of the few German producers & regions I trust with this varietal. Climate change will continue to broaden Germany’s scope of good producers with this varietal. — 18 days ago
Yes baby. Wowzers. Sick nose. Just exuberant, intense, so floral and fruity. Like wow. Some herbal notes. Chestnuts and roses. Just so deep. So expressive. Gorgeous minerals. Sappy and juicy. So tangy, fresh, deep, incisive, clean and young. But wow long and elite structure. Huge fruit that has top notch clarity. Sour cherries. Like wow sour cherries. Rhini is so slept on. The shortstop of the Ziereisen Pinot lineup. This is the best Rhini I’ve ever had. Bonkers. So elegant and pure. Red Riesling and beyond. This is amazing. — 2 days ago
@Delectable Wine this is also “Alte Reben.”
Savory and fascinating nose of wintergreen, cracked white pepper, herbs, minerals and savory forest aroma. Wonderful. Juicy, rich and ripe. Dazzlingly pure and dense. Really long finish and great balance. Crisp and crunchy but also rich. Nice tension there. Grippy and structured. Fantastic showing. — 3 days ago
Been about a year. Lovely, expressive nose, citrus, tangerine, pink grapefruit, salty minerals, an airiness, class and depth. Chewy, textured and super mineral. Wow. Awesome concentration and purity. Deep, mouth coating and very elite. Really expansive and pure. This has picked up weight and depth in a year. Chewy, dense and structured with lovely minerality and a playful citrus core. So so long. Fantastic. — 10 days ago
