Just had another bottle of this beauty, a Gran Selezione, new premium level approved in 2014, min 80% Sangiovese, must all be estate grown, min 13% alcohol & min 30 months aging. A blend of 95% Sangiovese & 5% Merlot, aged in French oak. Deep Ruby with aromas of ripe berry fruits and gentle spice notes. On the palate flavors of black cherry & ripe blackberry fruit with cacao & baking spices, good balance with lively acidity. Fine structured tannins, long finish ending with a fruit & mineral character. Nice! — 6 days ago
Had the 2014 blend. Has a deep earthy taste and good finish. Wouldn’t be an every day wine for me, but paired very well with pizza. — 4 months ago
A very distinctive Primitivo flavor.
Not too heavy.
Good chose to break the Cabernet - Merlot routine. — 5 months ago

Pour le 1er anniversaire de papi. Aux USA en vacances, bien fruité, généreux, corsé pour un chianti mais sans trop. Très bon. — 6 months ago
