The wine last night was the 2015 Clos René Pomerol Right Bank Bordeaux. A blend of 70% Merlot, 20% Cabernet Franc and 10% Malbec.
On the nose there is cherry, raspberry, black currant, violets, anise, faint hints of oak and earth.
On the palate there is bkack cherry, black raspberry, plum, blaxk currant, licorice, minerals and earth.
This is a full bodied wine with a silky smooth mouthfeel, medium to medium + acidity and medium to medium + fine tannins that moves into a long dark fruit earthy finish. As we move firmly into spring and into this coming weekend lets enjoy our lifes fortunate new beginnings. Let us keep or eyes, minds and hearts open to all lifes new rewards. Please stay safe and healthy. Nostrovia! 🍷🍷🍷🍷 — a month ago
Gorgeous bin end at HH for first drink back in public. Great complexity for the price. Apple and brioche notes. — 24 days ago

Sweet wine produced in Champagne. PN based, quite rich. @, wan, 210418 — 18 days ago
Chambord, licorice, garrigue, roasted bacon, crushed black cherry, lavender pastille, smoke, menthol, crushed rock, more roasted herbs, hot iron. There’s depth here, the structure and body pushing towards Hermitage. This is my favorite cuvée from DetR and running for best of the Crozes appellation in my opinion. — 17 days ago
