The 2021 Pinot Noir (Sonoma County) is bright, punchy and absolutely delicious. Crushed red berry fruit, cedar, sweet pipe tobacco, mint and leather flesh out. Supple and racy, with no hard edges, the 2021 is a total delight. The Sonoma County is a blend of 15 vineyards, with much of the fruit coming from declassified Reeve lots. The 2018 Pinot Noir Rice-Spivak Vineyard is the most overt of the Reeve Pinots I tasted for this report, but it also has plenty of the energy that make these wines so distinctive. Creamy and pliant, the Rice-Spivak is a real joy to taste today. Crushed red berry fruit, mint, chalk, a touch of new oak and white pepper lend striking aromatic brilliance. Of all the Reeve 2018s, the first I would open is the Rice-Spivak. It's a gorgeous wine. (Antonio Galloni, Vinous, July 2021)
