CVed 8/19/17 comp with RBJ. NOT CAB. Dark Ruby color. Nose of mature mushrooms and autumn leaves and dark berries and peppery notes. Firm body and nicely resolved tannins and good length. Great value from Acker auction at $18. RBJ as was in Iceland. Slightly lighter in color and body with that minty note and not as concentrated but still a nice wine. Turns out very different varietals! A blend of equal parts Grenache and Mourvedre. PS shockingly good with Bahn min pork. Score raised to 9.1. opened 2/24/19. Cork broke but wine is fine. So CV worked well. Same comments. Good value. — 7 years ago
Acker auction. First opened Iceland 7/20/17. Earthy and dark red fruits minty notes on nose. Medium body and good balance with acids on palate and medium finish. Great value $12 for'99. Not there typical Aussie style. Good mix of old and new worlds. A blend of equal parts Grenache and Mourvedre. — 7 years ago
