Pro ratings are on the mark here. Refreshing #grunerveltliner from #weinviertel. Lovely wet chalk, faint chives and vegetal notes, crisp acidity, touch of spritz when you first open the bottle and some citrus and white pepper on the finish. Here is your green salad slayer pairing wine. — 4 years ago
2000 vintage was better than pro rating. Still a little watery. Slightly delicate. But it had good color and no bitterness. — 5 years ago
Disg. 2/14…Always my favorite of the Lieux-Dits and without question one of the very best Blanc de Blancs Champagnes on the planet, it’s particularly special to have with some bottle age. It’s stunning today, rich and powerful with crazy depth to its layers with a deep, complex core of caramelized orchard fruit, roasted nuts, old rum barrels and candied white flowers, all seamlessly integrated. The palate is generous and detailed, with racy acids, waves of saline laced, chalky Le Mesnil minerals and a finish that stays with you. A BdB benchmark for my tastes. — 7 months ago
The pro rating of 7.0 is a damn lie. This is like a 9.5. Come at me, “pro”! — 4 years ago

Premier Cru, but really Grand Cru, Malco, one of my favorite wines on the planet is just rocking tonight, pnp perfection wafting an unmistakable Dujac nose with layers of violets, cocoa beans, fresh red berry fruit and whole brunch stemmy spice. The palate is pure silk with a mastery in balance of richness, purity and delivery of fruit, texture and acids with a finish that just keeps on going. Amazing wine. — a year ago
It is dark purple in color. There are black fruit aromas in the nose, high tannin, rich, cherry, plum, blackberry aromas on the palate. There are vanilla, cedar and pro aromas coming from the barrel.
It is suitable for aging.
It goes well with steak, lamb and meat. — 4 years ago
