Nose of ripe blackberry. Ripe blackberry, plum, hints of pepper, green pepper, vanilla. Very nice mouthfeel, tannins softened yet powerful, well balanced acidity. Medium finish. Simple fruit forward Napa cab, not complex. Nevertheless, is a very nice ripe big fruit Napa cab. Pretty much PNP now. — 2 months ago
Drinking well in early 2025 for the 2018 vintage. It took a few years to get off the rough edges. $21. — 8 days ago

Winemaker Notes:
“The Blanc de Blancs Signature Brut is the jewel of Maison Philippe Gonet, founded in 1830, in the village of Le Mesnil-sur-Oger. This exceptional cuvée is made from Chardonnays from prestigious terroirs of the Côte des Blancs, the Côte de Sézanne and Montgueux, offering a pure expression of the 100% Chardonnay grape variety.” — 2 months ago
Longtime favorite and I snap up this foxy number whenever I see it. Crunchy strawberry and herbs, a bit of animal and yeast at the end but not too much to compromise the freshness. I don’t think this ages and should be drunk up but that doesn’t make it any less special — 3 months ago

Opened and decanted for 1 hour before tasting. Clean long cork that was soaked to the edge through.
Aromas of wild forest floor. As it opened, fruit began to emerge
This wine tasted delicious. I don’t even remember specific flavors. It was just very good and easy to drink while also having depth and structure to hold up to black pepper chicken thighs.
Hope my other bottles of this wine shine the same — 5 days ago
