In. The. Zone. By the time I got to this, it had been in the bottle about an hour or so...poured dark purple in to the glass with a black core. Big aromas of violets, baked mixed berry pie, and some graphite/minerals. Dense without overwhelming on the palate...sweetened blue and black fruit, nutmeg and a mint-like finish (a bit reminiscent of American oak?). Awesome texture. — 2 days ago
Drinking great, captures what I often love in Santa Barbara Syrahs; CA sunshine in the fruit, generous without overbearing, balanced acids. Ripe black and blue fruit, almost liqueur-like, sweet spices, licorice whip, roasted coffee. Certainly NW in style but very well made. — 16 days ago
really good chablis. nose is beautiful citrus, pear, orange. a little bit creamy. ocean water. great bouquet on this one.
palate - biting acidity! fresh lemon, slate, saline. just a powerful punch in the mouth. very happy with this bottle. — 32 minutes ago
Less “in-your-face” than my last bottle. Strawberry and tomato leaf on the nose. The palate on this bottle seems to be less evolved than the last—fruit is there, but so are the tannins. This particular bottle probably could have benefitted from some time in the cellar. This is very serious Beaujolais and has now become a wine/producer I will look forward to seeking out each year. — 8 days ago
