An interesting Viognier probably a little past prime. A little dusky on the nose. Smelled like lemon air freshener in a YMCA locker room. This did improve as it warmed to room temp. Definitely full bodied with some crushed rock and pumice stone. Meyer lemon and orange blossom. Nice little wine, but guessing it had quite a bit more acid 3 years ago than it did today. — 5 years ago

I’ve had this producer’s Petite Sirah and actually really enjoyed it, so I was glad to try another one of their wines. I didn’t get to this until it had been open an hour and it smelled like pineapple and mango juice. Didn’t get any floral or mint notes I commonly get with Viognier. Light and clean on the palate with lots of lemon and pineapple.

@Delectable Wine : This is the Onesta Petite Syrah. I didn’t see it in the database.

Really unique wine from a small producer. For the makeup, it was shockingly smooth. Very dark and inky with blackberry, cassis, underripe blueberries and black pepper. Stiff tannin but it softens towards the finish. Potpourri and lavender too. Very cool. — 5 years ago

2014 vintage. Color- Spanish onion skin--- nose - fruit punch, strawberry, raspberry, currant, Lilly whites --- tangerine, came through on the mid pallet. Gripping acidity is balanced with a nice medium mouth feel. Long finish. Solid Rose. — 7 years ago
