KILLLER Langhe Nebbiolo! — 7 years ago
Delicious wine, juicy fruit. — 7 years ago
Outstanding, light in colour, light in touch but big beautiful flavours that worked with light vegetables dishes and the main which were beef ribs cooked over wood. — 4 months ago
Right on opening: black tea, sweet wood spice, black & red cherry, cardamom, rose water/ petal.
Palate: black cherry, wood spice, red currents, black tea tannin. Can't wait for this to unfurl!
Air time: red cherry, pot pourri, amaro herbs, marzipan ( doesn’t overshadow ), rose water, black cherry, black tea
Palate: all the above, with the marzipan riding through in background & fine black tea tannin on the close. Excellent. Still plenty of life ahead. — 2 years ago
Paired with NY Strip Steak at The Little Owl. Tannins. Little acidity. — 9 years ago
2022. Second of the four different Olek Bondonio wines I picked up several months ago. I could pair this wine with so many different dishes (or gladly drink by itself). Lighter color and body do not equate to lower flavor. Cherry, floral, peppery with acidity and tannin levels that are well balanced. Went great with nicely charred Frank Pepe pizzas on a Saturday afternoon! — 7 months ago
Vin d’Ottawa
Bought this one about four-and-half years ago and the aging did it well.
This is the softest Barbera I’ve ever had even with a 15.0% alcohol content. Blackberry, balsamic and blueberry 🫐 with the tannins smoothed through. Licorice on the finish. Just lovely. — 2 months ago
