Vendange Châteauneuf-du-Pape Red Rhone Blend 2017

Raspberry and cherry fruits, with dried Mediterranean herbs. 80% Grenache, 10% Mourvèdre, 10% Syrah. Not as bold as most CdPs. First bottle was corked, so it dampened my enthusiasm :(

This did hold up really well on the second day, especially when served cooler. The tannins relaxed, and the fruit is slightly sweeter and more blended. Benefits from the extra air - was pretty tight upon opening. Still great acidity and herbal finish.

Silken. Super balanced. Bought two. One to drink tonight and one to drink down the line.

Tropical fruits, balanced acidity, melts on the palate like a pad of butter made of wildflowers and honey.
