Maybe should have decanted this longer. Was good throughout, but really seemed to open up towards the end of the meal. — a month ago

Gattinara Nebbiolo 2015

Gattinara is a new region for me. It’s in Northern Piedmont, with smaller output than nearby Langhe, but produces Nebbiolo with a similar “nervy” acidity. This bottle is great, with earthy red fruit and brick red color. Still young, but tasty. Had it with coq au vin 🇫🇷✖️🇮🇹 — 15 days ago

Parigi Nebbiolo d'Alba 2017

Violets and tar in balance with tannins and alcohol. Could have fooled me this baby is 15 ABV. Feel more burgundy than Nebbiolo — 18 days ago

Castelletto Barolo Nebbiolo 2011

Very nice wine. Long finish and a classic Barolo. It’s been BBC awhile since I’ve had a Barolo and I’m pleased with this wine. — 19 days ago

Selvaggia Nebbiolo Barbera 2017

Grape mash, blueberries, licorice. Fennel comes through strong.

Bought this one in February 2019 with a good friend. Busted it out for the premiere of Curb Your Enthusiasm after watching BB3 (Bad Boys For Life). Suffice to say it was a guys night.

The texture is more viscous than normal, smooth, pleasant. Even slight bubbles present. Taking on a flat kombucha flavor.

Blueberries. Rounded sweetness. Good structure.

This one surprised me. Especially the slight natural carbonation and fennel seed bouquet. Hint of mangoes in the mid palate, no joke.

Molino di Sant' Antimo

Molino di Sant' Antimo Brunello di Montalcino 2014

Day 3... Dried cherry, rhubarb, rose pedal, tobacco, and cracked leather, like a old baseball glove. Rustic all around. Plush and firm on the palate with a strong mid-palate tannin that smooths into a balanced finish. Red and blackcherry fruit. Secondary hints of sage, tar, and tobacco. Layered. Finishes with freshness and length. Hold for 5+ years. — 24 days ago
