Very warm on the throat……in a good way — a month ago
Pop and pour. A majestic light gold color. On the nose: beautiful aromatics of pineapple, tangerine, floral, minerals, lemon zest. Taste: Nice! A rich, creamy, slightly chalky full body wine with pear, lemon rind, peach, apple, minerals, and a spiced grapefruit long finish. What a treat to drink, but no hurry! — 3 months ago
From nearly purple and dense in the middle to slightly orange brim surrounding the surface.
Nose as classic as it gets
Dark cherry, leather, truffle, licorice and.. soy sauce..and coffee..and if you keep swirling you get more and it isn't that classic anymore
The palate is full and in great tension
So fresh and vibrant
Almost whips you mouth
Majestic example of sangiovese that you can easily still put aside for a while, but absolutely enjoy now too
Decanting would be very beneficial — 6 months ago

Deliciously juicy Gaja and Graci collaboration from the southern slopes of Mt. Etna on the island of Sicily.
A volcanic blend of 90% Nerello Mascalese and 10% Nerello Cappuccio. Vintage 2017; ABV 14.5%
I love that this wine was named Idda (‘she’) referring with admiration to the majestic Mt. Etna.
This wine is ripe with notes of cherry, kirsch, alongside tomato leaf, mint, cardamom, crushed stone and flinty minerality. — 2 months ago
Pop and pour. A majestic medium ruby red color. On the nose: subtle notes of stewed cherries, minerals, floral, wet forest floor, slight funk, vanilla oak. Taste: elegant, smooth, dry medium body wine with tart cherry, crushed rocks, earthy, herbs, and a peppery tea medium plus finish. 1st time trying this producer.....might have to check out other wines from this producer. . — 6 months ago
Black cherry, cassis, bramble fruit, blueberry, violets, lavender, black pepper, some stemmy/tarragon/tomato leaf/underbrush. You don’t find too many natural winemakers taking on bold reds like Petite Sirah, but I’m glad Beaver Creek does and has no qualms about going up to 14+% alc. The wine feels a little thin on the palate for a California Petite, but really over delivers on the range, intensity and precision of favors, especially for the <$20 price—and it’s from a biodynamically farmed single-vineyard (Horne Ranch, which seems like a pretty majestic place from the photos I’ve seen) to boot! Great with bacon-eggplant-cheese burger. — 7 months ago

1 hour decant(some fine/cloudy sediment). A majestic dark ruby red color. On the nose: black fruit, currants, smoke, some sweet aged cab perfume, forest floor, pine. Taste: smooth, soft, rich medium plus body wine with black cherry/plum, graphite, minerals, cedar, spicy black licorice, and a long chocolate espresso finish. Drinks great, pop one if you got em....or wait, should have a number of years left. — 3 months ago
Oh the calamity.....leftover Waygu steak from last night's zoom Cain tasting...had to pop something worthy to go with it!
1.5 hour decant(decent chunky sediment). A majestic inky purplish garnet color. On the nose: a surprisingly subtle nose of dark cherry, spearmint, little blueberry, vanilla oak, graphite, and cedar. Taste: creamy, juicy, full body wine with blackberry, pencil lead, leather, cassis, and a long spiced dark chocolate finish. YUM!!! Drinks well with the decant and should keep going for many years. — 7 months ago
