La Pleiade

Chapoutier and Laughton

M45 Shiraz 2010

Jan A
9.6

Sold in Europe as "La Pleiade" Made from Chapoutier's selected Hermitage and Cotie-Rotie syrah grapes which are planted in Heathcotes Australian red soils.

Balanced red and black fruit mixed with spices, this is excellent. 97 points by Monica Warner WA. Give it some more time in the cellar.

Even better on day two with vintage port like characteristics. Definitely 96+ with some more time in the cellar

@Jan A Ron Laughton has had great success with Shiraz over a long in Heathcote with his own label, Jasper Hill. Worth seeking out and highly recommended.

La Pleiade

Shiraz

Amazing quality of fruit used in this shiraz. All the hallmarks of the 'less is more' approach. Amazing nose of violets, pencil shavings and dark fruits. Palate is rich mouth filling and amazing length. — 5 years ago
