This is a big Languedoc blend and time has treated it well. Very slight browning but deep, rich purple depths. Smoke, pencil lead, black fruit and some green stem notes... but ripe, round, and sweet fruit-fronted. Smooth, silky, well -integrated acid fruit balance. This wine rocks on a warm Michigan summer evening with rare filets and a shit-load of local ripe produce. — 9 months ago
Didn't really show up to play tonight. Perhaps some air will improve. Very closed and one dimensional. Off bottle? Day 2 & 3: Ok here we go. Compote, leather, earth, garrigue, violet, sweet spices, forest, animal. Needs time. Maintains a certain richness while expressing a sense of elegance. — 5 years ago
17.5+ rich golden colour. Legs. Honey and white fruit nose. V full on palate, remarkably long. It's a Rhone blend, but distinct from Hermitage and CNDP. Must buy more.
