2000 | Nebbiolo
Domenico Clerico; Pajana (Ginestra)
Piedmont - Langhe; Barolo, Monforte d'Alba, Italy
(92-94; Drink 2030-40)
Nose has cherry jam, wet leather, stewed red fruits, sweet tobacco and dark chocolate.
Palate has cherry mash, moist chocolate brownie, cedar and sea salt. Fading but present tannins.
12H decant, still needs airing, long life ahead. I'm a fan of 2000 Baroli. — a year ago
Sourced from 65 year old vines, sitting in rich clay soils. Medium Ruby with complex aromas of berry fruits, oak and fresh floral scents. On the palate dried tart cherry, tobacco, licorice, espresso and fresh herbs give this full-body wine grace and elegance. Soft fine tannins, long finish ending with fruit and earthy notes, well balanced, enjoyable now and has room to run over the next decade. Very Nice! — a month ago
2019 vintage. Definite woofer. Medium body with aggressive, vengeful tannins but surmised that when I picked it up approx two weeks ago. Tonight's outfit slightly scattered around the room currently but will be well put together and dressed to kill starting in about 4-5 years. Need to squirrel away a few more of these acorns. Hey, you've got to hide your love away. 11.26.24. — 5 months ago

This was loaded with lots of berry notes and tobacco jumped out. Drinking great but a lot going on at dinner at Le Virtú in Philly. — 3 months ago
Exceptional for a clear young grappa. The fruit and flowers coming off of this are exceptional. — 6 months ago
