The Wine Advocate - October 2014
“The compelling 2012 Cabernet Sauvignon Beckstoffer Las Piedras Vineyard’s stunning bouquet of blueberry pie, ripe black raspberries, cassis, wet stones and spring flowers is followed by an opulent, multidimensional, powerful, rich, concentrated wine that is one of the superstars of the vintage. This is another candidate for perfection after a few years of bottle age. Drink it over the next 15-20 years.” (RP) — 15 days ago
From total wine -$20. Smooth. I like Tuli better I think. Idk if I’d waste the money serving to others bc they wouldn’t tell the difference with an $8 — a month ago

Fabulous Bevan Cellars Napa Bordeaux Blend!
Kudos & Bravo! 👍🏻👏🏻 👏🏻Already integrated tannins, deep concentration of blue, black & red Oakville Vineyards fruit. Killer QPR in under $100 range. Blend is: 62% CS, 19% CF, 15% PV, & 4% Merlot

Inspired by wine-buddy Thijs, I decided to pull the trigger on this one today.
And he’s completely right.
Explosive nose of fireworks, candied lemonpeel, peach kernel and decadent spicebox aromas. Nice and creamy on the palate, wonderful viscosity, spicy acidity (is there such a thing?) and mineral play on the long and fresh finish.
Kudos to Mr. Guffens. — a month ago
Understated and majestic. God, I love Chenin Blanc as a food wine. Crisp, clean notes of lemon curd and kaffir lime. Silky smooth, low ABV, and racy palette cleansing acidity make this wine a wonderful dining companion. Factor in the versatility and affordability and I can’t get enough. Kudos Tegan! — 4 days ago
Really smooth while retaining distinct tannins and structure. Kind of a concentration of berries in back. It really tastes and feels like a fine wine and overall appeals to my taste. kudos! It's a really solid product. — 9 days ago
Virile, yet tiny dancer light on the initial attack. Not rich, but a spreading carpet of complex, vibrating ripe black fruit with a healthy dose of black olive tapenade and balanced acidity. No noticeable oak and ready for the table NOW! Long soothing finish. Kudos Tegan! — 18 days ago
PNP > Beauty from @Ehren Jordan Kudos &
95 Points- Vinous
“The 2014 Pinot Noir Hirsch Vineyard is a total knock-out. Dark, rich and explosive, the 2014 possesses magnificent depth and pedigree to burn. The flavors are dense, sweet and wonderfully nuanced throughout. A wine of extraordinary, almost Nebbiolo-like aromatic intensity and firm tannin, the Hirsch is going to need at least a few years to unwind, but it is very clearly a special wine. Hints of rose petal, mint and sweet red berry linger on the long, enticing finish. My tasting at Failla was one of the highlights of the two weeks I spent in Sonoma earlier this year. Ehren Jordan's 2014s are superb across the board. The wines are made in a mid-weight style that balances forward fruit with the aromatics and phenolics that these cooler sites tend to confer on their own... Simply put, 2014 is one of the most impressive vintages I have tasted at Failla.” (AG) (1/2016) — 18 days ago
