Not your standard jammy Monastrell: deep wafting (mostly) dark fruited aromas, licorice & minerals, just oozing - peppery notes as well. Broad smooth on palate (med + weight) not much acidity, rugged tannins leading to modest finish. Great QPR @ Costco — 2 months ago

Chablis from a good producer in a warm year can produce some interesting contradictions. It’s not got a lot of weight or body but feels quite rich. Some honey/beeswax on the nose and that sort-of-green undefinable flavor/terroir marker Chablis has. I think I bought a case and this felt sort of confused and heavy for the past couple of years (as young whites in warm years often do) but it’s starting to hit its stride. Serious wine despite the Chablis AOC on the label — 20 hours ago
Very different than the 2014 Cote de Leche, this seems much more youthful and currently a little disjointed, with youthful primary lemon aromas and flavors, lovely acidity, medium-long finish, but lacking the amazing depth and complexity of the Cote de Lechet, very good! — 3 months ago
Similar to a cab sauv — strong aroma but not too strong on the palette. Not oaky which is great! Dad likes this one a lot. — a month ago

Well, here’s to still having power. I don’t want to jinx us but it seems like every time we have a hurricane we lose power! I’m stocked up and ready. I’m in central Florida, in between Gainesville and Orlando. Please pray for those who will get hit the hardest tonight! 🙏🏻 I’ve spent the past few days in our Emergency Operations Center and it’s not supposed to be good especially since the coast hasn’t cleaned up from Helene. — 4 months ago

Light yellow in color.
Strong nose of citrus, lemons, apples and minerals.
Medium bodied with medium acidity and medium sized bubbles.
Dry on the palate with lemons, green apples, limes, spices, light yeast and minerals.
This 14 year old Vintage Champagne is showing nice complexity and mouthfeel.
Feels young, especially on the nose. Would be nice to revisit it in 5 years, and see how it evolves.
A blend of equivalent portions of 6 grapes including Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Pinot Meunier and Pinot Blanc. Disgorged in February 2022.
12% alcohol by volume.
90 points.
$120. — 5 days ago
