No formal notes. Intoxicating, beguiling perfume, in a lovely spot, miles to go. Thanks to @Jim Wagonfeld 🙏🏼 — 3 years ago
Love it - dry, dense, spicy and savoury. Just what I like! — 2 months ago
Apple blossom, red apple skin, underripe blackberry, stone fruit, orange pith, flint, and chalk. Loads of acid and all around structure. Undergoes malolactic and ages in neutral oak.
Has all the right stuff for further cellaring.
Hard to find. Far more complex than many of the tasting notes give it credit for. — 6 months ago
The first day of opening this wine it was harsh and stuffy. I was not impressed. However, on the second day, this wine opened up and became very light and flavorful - a juicy Pinot Noir of jammy cherry and berries. — 3 years ago
Plum, oak, vanilla, pepper, cherry. Bold palate with ripe dark fruits. Blackberry, fig, prune. Silky tannins.

Wow!! Still so vibrant and articulate at 13 years old… This field blend of 2nd/3rd choice selections is, in excellent harvest, better than 98% of other vineyards best first choice barrels. 46 Merlot… 31CS, 15 PV, 8% cab franc. 10. Provided such rich sugar, but Jim was able to maintain structure and phenolic equal by picking at the right time. — 10 months ago
