Solid enough, but disappointing for the price/reputation. Nose of acetone, caramel, vanilla and orange zest. The taste is more of the same, with an added metallic bitterness on the end that is pretty unpleasant. It’s remarkably rough for a 10 year old whiskey. I dunno. So some cool insights. Ate at Whiskey Cake this evening in Plano, Tx. If you add 2 drips of water to Eagle Rare 10 year, it is ridiculously similar to Rip Van Winkle 10 year neat. Check it out. Pretty amazing. 👍 — 7 years ago
