Earthy and rich with leather, fig, and anise. — 8 months ago
Surprisingly alive with dried fig, a bit of black cherry & kirsch, some Balsamico. Sweet-savoury yet still quite fresh.
On the palate quite evolved with the tannins very mellow. Orange peel acidity with some balsamic fruit. Sweet & savoury.
I didn’t expect this to last 15y. But it did and is such a pleasant surprise. — 3 years ago
NOSE: muted, red fruit, oaky vanilla, graphite
TASTE: super smooth, the fruit is candied and dried (cherry and maybe some fig?), mild spices and earth and fragrant wood — still enough acidity to keep it balanced. I like more fruit and oomph, but it is good. 92. — 3 months ago
WS: 93. Baked cherry, raspberry ganache and warm fig flavors are ripe and expressive, with a pleasing counterpoint and added detail from rich notes of loamy earth and leather, plus accents of bay leaf, vanilla and red licorice. There's a supple generosity on the palate, trimmed nicely by fine-grained tannins and a tang of orange peel acidity. Tempranillo and Garnacha. Drink now through 2032. 35,000 cases made, 9,000 cases imported.

Established in the village of Marsannay in the 1960's by Bernard Coillot, father of owner Christophe Coillot. Deep Ruby red color with aromas of berry fruit and gentle spice. On the palate flavors of cherry and blackberry with notes of fig, mushroom and spice. Fine soft tannins, long finish ending with fruit, spice and earthy mineral character. Nice! — 2 years ago

Reminded me of boozy Brunello. Garrigue, cedar, dried black cherry and dried fig, cocoa, dried herbs… — 10 months ago
