Wonderful with Florentina steak. Dark fruit, dried cherry, tobacco, oak, vanilla, and a tad smoky. @ Enoteca I Terzi in Siena — 5 years ago
Excellent for so young! Can't wait till we try in a few years with a bistecca florentina !! 🍷🔝🇮🇹 — 9 years ago

Opaque dark burgundy color, notes of tobacco, clove, proscuitto, porcini mushroom, and violet, very soft tannin with structured body, tastes on vanilla, raspberry, dark chocolate and espresso bean, delicate long finish with savory sweet aftertaste, delicious.
This one is great for short term drinking, paired beautifully with Bisteca Florentina. — 9 years ago

Merry Christmas
My last remnant of our trip to Italy in 2014.
This is the Riserva. The Vineyard is known for playing classical music to their vines.
Bouquet shows cedar,, violets, and cocoa. Black fruit is there, but certainly not prevalent. Flavors of stewed black cherry, earth, tar, and plum sauce. Tannins still firm, but well integrated. Obvious oak influence. I'm fine with this, but if you don't enjoy oak, it may not be your thing. Dry on the finish, which goes on for about 45 seconds.

I enjoyed this with red wine braised short ribs, but would be even better suited for a steak alla Florentina — 3 years ago
