Ecuadorian desert wine. Not too sweet. Very nice. A surprise for us. — 2 years ago

Pop and pour. A brilliant dark magenta color. On the nose: restrained notes of red fruit, vanilla, earth, herbs, and smoke. Taste: strawberry/raspberry, baking spice, dark chocolate, saline, minerals, with a medium finish. Blend of cab franc, cab sav, petit verdot, malbec, tempranillo, ancellotta from Ecuador. Never had Ecuador wines, but while here will need to taste through some. This was a nice easy to drink start. — 6 days ago
As good as the Chard was from the previous night, this Cab/Malbec blend is better.
The nose is deep and inviting with black currant, mulberry, roasted coffee beans, leather, cinnamon, and just lint of barnyard. Full body. Rich and powerful entry but settled down for a juicy and smooth palate with good flavor complexity. Good length with subtle green veggie note on the finish.
