A very nice, very Burgundian Chardonnay from cool Hemmel en Aarde. Cool & enticing, with ripe lemon & lime, shortbread, white flowers, a touch of nutmeg, a hint of anise. On the palate this is poised & very elegant. Good breadth (40% new barrels) but also great depth & focus. Layers of ripe yellow fruit & juicy, vibrant acidity plus a nice salty touch on the long finish. Very close to Cote Challonais in style, a truly lovely wine. — 5 days ago
