This was a fun discovery for my lady. It had that VA CS verve that makes it totally unique...like an delightful yet odd chord sequence/structure in a ballad song. Medium weight like a Chianti or Barbera, yet with some energy from the Rhône. Just a real versatile midweight wine that comes from an unlikely space… Hillsboro Virginia!  — 4 years ago

This wine is fabulous-- taste it with your eyes first with it's beautiful ruby color. The nose is inviting and after your first sip you'll be buying a bottle like we did! Earthy tastes with hints of tobacco and a smooth finish. — 9 years ago

Dry, slightly smoky nose with notes of lemon curd and cut grass. Bright acidity and creaminess lead the palate followed by flavors of lemon and lime with a touch of stone. The finish is clean and bright with lots of minerality. — 8 years ago
