Antonin Rodet

Rully Pinot Noir 2015

Ruby with pure red fruit on the youthful nose, adding floral aromas. On the palate, this dry red has flavors of cherry and strawberry with a bit of licorice. Medium+ acidity with fine soft tannins, good balance on medium finish, ending with fruit and mineral notes. — 21 hours ago

Not very special but the age has done wonderful things for this cheap chardonnay. A forgotten bottle found at my mother in law's kitchen 😂 — 4 years ago

Cremant de Bourgogne Brut Sparkling Blend 1875

NV There are a lot of Cremant AOC’s, and I have a weak spot for Cremant de Bourgogne. It seems to have something extra. A smell with apricot and yeast, a supple taste with a certain refinement. Aperitive wine with some amuses. — 25 days ago

Les Valançons Bourgogne Hautes Côtes de Nuits Pinot Noir 2016

It always surprises me when scents takes me back. This wine took me back to the Pinot Noir that got me obsessed with Pinot Noir: a 1978 Antonin Rodet Santenay, drunk in 1982 when I was 22.

Super sappy, rich, tangy dark cherry essence on the nose. A wee bit of wet earth, limestone, and spice. In the mouth it’s very tangy and minerally, with surprising acidity (which is unlike the Santenay I remembered). Not complex or deep, but, damn, this is a fun wine.
