A nice Pinot. Robust enough to stand up to roast beef.A bit rustic with some smoothness too. — 6 years ago
It always surprises me when scents takes me back. This wine took me back to the Pinot Noir that got me obsessed with Pinot Noir: a 1978 Antonin Rodet Santenay, drunk in 1982 when I was 22.
Super sappy, rich, tangy dark cherry essence on the nose. A wee bit of wet earth, limestone, and spice. In the mouth it’s very tangy and minerally, with surprising acidity (which is unlike the Santenay I remembered). Not complex or deep, but, damn, this is a fun wine. — 5 years ago
