The 2019 Chablis Les Clos Grand Cru has an effervescent bouquet with orange zest and almond scents. Seaspray touches come through with aeration. The palate is well balanced with a pleasant sour lemon twist on the entry, relatively fresh and tensile with a brisk, quite peppery, lemony finish that lingers in the mouth. Superb. Tasted blind at the annual Burgfest tasting. (Neal Martin, Vinous, December 2023)

Separating from Domaine Bernard Moreau, Benoit is now making his own wines and 2020 Fairendes continues to be plenty open and giving and quite classic in profile showing both richness and definition. Going to age beautifully. — 3 months ago
A pleasant, zesty, slightly sweet Chablis. The wine paired quite well with my cracked crab and chowder! — 4 months ago

Bright, saline, and flavourful. Perhaps a touch “sweet” courtesy of the vintage. A pretty powerful Bourgogne, yet still manages to maintain good energy. Yum. — 3 days ago
