Quite fruity with floral tones, might be a bit on the sweet side for some. Delicate palate if you give it a chance. Great easygoing summer wine. — 8 months ago
Incredible body with 11 years on lees. Nice and creamy. Lacks a mid palate and finishes short but pleasant.
Green apple, pear, white grapefruit, some lemon…more lime, apple cider notes, dryish white peach, white spice, whip cream, ginger-ale, bread dough, yeast, saline, crumbed limestone, understated chalk, withering spring flowers, racing, crisp acidity and a even wire to wire finish that does come up short. Maybe, some more time will improve things?

A whole-hearted 9.5 this Castelnau deserves. Just wow. 50% Chardonnay, 30% Pinot Noir and 20% Pinot Meunier and 10 years on the lees. Full-bodied and rich - almost like drinking a bubbly Sancerre at times and really a steal at 54 Euros a bottle. I want cases of these in my home. — 3 years ago
Really good. Color has darkened. Still lively and fresh. Smells amazing. Chalky, a little brioche, very bright — 7 months ago
