Time for #MerlotThursday! and here is a nice surprise. A very good Merlot/ Cabernet Sauvignon blend from Brooklyn, NY. Medium plus in body with medium plus acidity and nice legs.Dry on the palate with red and black fruits, earth, chocolates, vanilla,, licorice, cedar, tobacco, herbs, spices and black pepper.Nice length on the finish with soft tannins and tangy pomegranates.This 9 year old is very enjoyable, soft and smooth. Good by itself or with food. I paired it with a charcuterie board of meats and cheeses.Grapes are grown in long Island. Made by Robert Foley.
