Bolt Cutter Cabernet Sauvignon Blend 2013

2013 Vintage. 15.6% Alcohol. 65% Cabernet Sauvignon, 15% Petite Verdot, 10% Petite Sirah, 10% Syrah. Big, but velvet now on the palate. Sorry to have missed the party, but enjoying this! — 2 months ago

Catherine et Pierre Breton

Trinch Bourgueil Cabernet Franc 2010

Funky cool barnyard style! Lots of character! Earth, mushroom, wet forest floor. So much complexity! Not for the cookie cutter wine lovers! — 3 years ago

La Sirena

Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon 2016

Not a cookie cutter Chardonnay. Hints of apricot, citrus and sour mouth. Lighter than some Chardonnays. Leggy, not syrupy. Delightful sour finish. — a year ago

Angove Family Winemakers

McLaren Vale Grenache Blend 2017

Chosen from a 47 Wine blind tasting to be the new Club Red for the Downs Club to be sold for around $20. Many of them were very similar Cookie Cutter type Wines but this will sell well. — 2 years ago

Scar of the Sea

Seven Leagues Santa Maria Valley Rosé of Pinot Noir 2017

Very light pale salmon color in the glass. These guys make such lovely wines and it’s nice that they keep it up with the Rosé too. Really nice dried rose petals and citrus fruits on the nose with a touch of fresh herbs. If it wasn’t already obvious, this isn’t your standard cookie cutter Rosé, not by a long shot. It’s exceedingly fresh and lively and has plenty of complexity and depth that’s rare nowadays. The palate generally follows the nose with vibrant citrus, baking spices, and floral impressions. This is what Rosé should be, what it could be. If everyone gave a damn. — 4 months ago

Brown Estate

Westside Napa Valley Zinfandel 2015

2015. Spent the day home with a cold, so tried out the new bottle cutter- gave up after the first 2. Brown Westside hints of celery, fennel, dried herbs. We're from Southside, so this is new- or perhaps my nose isn't up for a proper review but I love Brown Zins. — 2 years ago
